"The best laid schemes of mice and men often go awry." I'm pretty sure John Steinbeck wrote this iconic quote on the morning that he forgot his gym shoes, chia seeds, and blueberries at home.
I had planned to mix the chia seeds in with my mystery "cheese," so that didn't happen. Tomorrow, my peeps. Tomorrow. So I had mystery cheese and no blueberries for breakfast.
For lunch I went out with my boss, Fabulous Coworker Kathy, and our employment lawyer and employee relations guy, who are the funniest people at my job. (I guess you have to be if you deal with weirdness concerning German Shepherds, toenails, and toilets all day--don't ask.)
I had a little bit of the buffalo chicken dip, which was most certainly not healthy, but I did eat lots of the accompanying celery. Then I got a big salad with grilled shrimp, chicken, avocado, bacon, and tomatoes, all with a balsamic vinaigrette. And I had a York Peppermint Patty.
Dinner was grilled chicken (thanks, Chris!), mashed potatoes, and tomatoes & feta in lemon olive oil.
Water? 10 glasses and counting
Pre-planning? Not sure how to score this. Good intentions, I suppose? I did at least pre-plan dinner.
Cardio? Going for a walk after I'm done writing this. Also hip and upper body strength exercises.
In conclusion, Chris got me these flowers today. Aren't they pretty? :)
