Day 205

Breakfast was three glasses of water, a half of a tiny piece of pumpkin bread (thanks, stylish coworker!) and two cups of watermelon.   Total: 2 points Lunch was a greek salad with feta cheese, a handful of pistachios (thanks, blonde coworker!), a cookie, and a glass of water.  Total: 11 points Not only did blonde coworker have pistachios, she had super glue to fix my broken heel ! Snack was a blow pop, four tootsie rolls, and two glasses of water.  More on the sweet tooth later.   Total: 3 points Dinner was a hard shelled taco, a salad with olive oil and vinegar, refried beans, and ALL THE CHIPS AND SALSA.  Plus a glass of water.   12 points Then I exercised for an hour with the trainer and drank two glasses of water.  I think I might have one bicep now.  Well, I mean, I have two biceps, but only one of them looks like a flabby chicken wing. Snack was half of a baby cupcake and a glass of milk.   Total: 4 points So that was a lot of desserts.  But yesterday was th

Day 204

Weigh in day was yesterday, and I lost 2 pounds! Why thank you, Beyonce. I've been tracking, and drinking water, and exercising, but I've been quiet for a few days because: (a) Work has been insanely busy (b) Wedding stuff has been cray cray and also I didn't want to disclose the exciting details of the food selections we've been sampling (c) I got a migraine so bad that I could barely see straight, and the sound of air moving hurt But here's a little wedding preview for you: Shoes! Breakfast was a cup of milk.   Total: 2 points Lunch was at A Deli with Amy and Her Chris, which included a turkey sammich on wheat with a pickle and a glass of water.  Dessert was a mini cupcake and two cups of watermelon, which Amy says I ate very loudly, plus two glasses of water.   Total: 12 points NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM! Then Amy and I worked on wedding things, which involved spray paint and a never-ending search for twine and making a necktie for a plastic wolf.

Day 203

Oh Terrible Traffic Tuesday, how I hate you. After arriving late to work, breakfast was a latte.   Total: 2 points Lunch was three ounces of chicken, a cup of mango, a half cup of watermelon, a half cup of veggies, and a completely disgusting Activia yogurt (which I bought only because it was low in sugar and fat--and also apparently taste), along with two cups of water.   Total: 4 points   I will  fit in this wedding dress, dammit! English translation: this yogurt is only one point, but it's gross. Snack was another half cup of watermelon and four tootsie rolls, plus another cup of water.   Total: 1 point Because I had been awesome for breakfast and lunch, I was able to eat sliders for dinner!  Also, oven baked chipotle sweet potato fries roasted in olive oil, chips and salsa, and a half cup of tomatoes with olive oil.  And two more glasses of water.   Total: 20 points Exercise was an hour with the trainer, a 15 minute walk with Chris (featuring perfect wea

Day 202

Breakfast was a cup of hash browns made with a teaspoon of olive oil, a hard-boiled egg, and a whole grain Eggo waffle with sugar-free syrup.  Plus two glasses of water.   Total: 8 points I like waffles, but this is a little extreme. Exercise was 20 minutes of walking in poor air quality, followed by two glasses of water. It ain't easy being wheezy. For lunch I made Skinnytaste Chicken and White Bean Enchiladas with creamy salsa verde .  It's lots of work but it's yummy!  I also had a salad with olive oil and another glass of water.   Total: 6 points Snack was a cup of watermelon, some chips and salsa, and another cup of water.   Total: 3 points Then I went to the grocery store hungry, but still stuck to the list except for getting ice cream and whole wheat pita for hummus and beer. Seriously, you should check out The Oatmeal , because everything he writes is awesome. Once home, I considered eating all of the ice cream, and then all of the hummus, and

Day 201

Uuugh.  I weighed myself and I'm now 10 pounds away from my goal (you'll remember I was close at 5 pounds).  A disaster of this magnitude can only be heralded by these two: Watch out, ladies!  You're being attacked by bad fashion choices! What's up with that?  Well, work is a little cray-cray, and wedding planning is stressful.  Which leads to eating all the carbs and sugar. :(  I'm trying to make good choices, but I'm not tracking what I eat.  So I'm doing things like eating a whole bag of goldfish (6.5 servings) "because they're made with whole grains!"  And I'm not drinking enough water.  Or doing enough cardio. Bet you can't eat just 300!    So I'm going to commit to fixing these things for the next week, or I'm going to shame myself in to doing it, because if I don't, I'm going to force myself to send all e-mails in Comic Sans--the worst font in the world--for the week after. The horror! Breakfast was
