Day 172

Breakfast was pills because my head hurt and my throat hurt.  I have successfully fended off whatever this is about three times, but my kung fu powers are only so strong.
Just a spoonful of pseudophedrine!
Lunch was eight chicken nuggets, a big salad with a teaspoon of olive oil, and two cups of iced tea. Total: 8 points

Then I drank three glasses of hot tea and had a gummy vitamin.  Total: 0 points
Chris got me some awesome tea from Fortnum and Mason for Christmas.  My tea setup isn't as fancy as theirs, though.
Dinner was five pieces of spicy tuna sushi made with brown rice, plus a clementine and a glass of water.  Total: 5 points

Then I had a cup of hot chocolate, which was mostly skim milk with a suggestion of Ovaltine.  Total: 2 points

Don't worry--the reason I didn't have a lot to eat is because I felt under the weather, not because I was trying to starve myself.

The Oscars, powered by onion dip

My hilarious friends Kelley and Christopher invited me over for the Oscars so that we could judge red carpet looks. Kelley is one of the few people in my life that makes me laugh without fail, and she blogs her adventures--and misadventures--over at The Lundscape .   Kelley warned me prior to coming over that they were more "Shame" than "Squad," so that's how we ended up with three types of dip.  This was fortuitous, though, because the dips sustained us through grueling hours of pausing and rewinding live coverage, swapping drink recipes  we learned on vacation, and discussing what award shows would be like on Middle Earth.
