I've talked to a several of you delightful people lately who have asked "where is the Shame Squad? It inspired me to eat healthy/exercise/keep up with the British monarchy." Okay, that last 'benefit' is probably more of a side effect. It's really nice to feel like my writing makes a positive contribution to your life, so thank you! It also takes me longer than you would suspect to write a post, and I've prioritized other things this year. Although, I have written about 100 blog posts in my mind, so I need someone to invent a 'think-to-text' app. C'mon, engineers!
Let's catch up on food, exercise, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Johnny Weir, shall we?
Breakfast - Latte (homemade) and vitamins. So not quite the breakfast of champions. We tried a vegetable curry recipe for dinner last night, which was not super delicious. And that's how I ended up eating Chick-fil-a at 9 p.m. and why I wasn't hungry first thing.
Lunch - Chris made baked chicken wings for the game, so I had two with an apple and a slice of pumpernickel bread for lunch. Yeah, I know there are four on the plate--one of my successes this year has been 'stop eating if you're not hungry.'
Dinner - Rosh Hashanah! (Btw, spell check wants me to rename the Jewish New Year to 'Rose Natasha.' Perhaps she is a lesser-known historic Jewish woman than Miriam or Rachel or Natalie Portman.)
We celebrated with The Jews and the Canadians. I love that they include us in their holidays. We've helped celebrate Hanukkah also which was fun, and I got some gelt! (Note: spell check wants me to say that I got some felt. Is there some sort of Jewish auto correct I can install here?) Robin went all out and we had delicious brisket, two types of kugel, challah, plus apples and honey. The Canadians brought apple muffins. We brought the veggies. I called them the "Gentile Veggies."
Exercise was a two mile walk plus this Lazy Girl workout. Even though you get to lie down the entire time, this workout is still a challenge for your core. Did I mention you get to lie on the floor?
In DoCam (Duchess of Cambridge)/KMiddy news, she's been gracing Canada with her lovely hair, beautiful outfits, and focus on mental health and the environment. Wills, for his part, did not wear a navy suit the ENTIRE time, which is pretty miraculous.
Prince McCheeks continued his tradition of making hilarious faces and also deciding he hates ponies (don't tell great grandma!). Princess Charlotte gave me flashbacks of my childhood when I had to wear smocked dresses and shoes that I hated, but ultimately won me over with her love of bunnies and balloons.
And finally, props to my friend Natalie, who found this Johnny Weir inspired cake. My birthday is in April, people. I'm just saying.
That's it, e'rybody, that's everything. Re: tomorrow being a Monday, remember it doesn't have to suck!

We KNOW. Also, I want that clutch. And I love those sleeves. I bet the wine is really good too. |

Aww, I bet that bunny got sent home with them and now has a bunny-sized crown. Behold, the Royal Rabbit! |
