Day 34

First, what you're really interested in: how the calorie burning went.

  • Exercise Bike-210 calories
  • Treadmill-40 calories (this was my cool down from the bike, because my butt hurt)
  • Yoga-125 calories
  • Weights-30 calories
  • Post-dinner treadmill-70 calories
  • Total for the day? 475.  Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck it, Shame Squad!
This is trikonasana pose.  Try it.  It isn't fun.
Breakfast was one cup of milk and one cup of blueberries.  I shamed myself in to eating the lunch I brought (3 ounces of grilled chicken, 1 ounce of goat cheese, 2 cups of tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips) even though I wanted...anything besides what I packed.  Even though when I actually ate it, it was tasty.


Dinner was 3 ounces of pork sausage (shout out to Lothar!), a cup of potatoes cooked in one teaspoon of olive oil, 1 ounce of cheese, and a half of an apple.


This is Lothar, our butcher.  He is awesome.
You can buy his delicious ribs, sausages, etc. at the Purcellville Community Market on Saturday mornings.
Then I had 8 tootsie rolls and kind of went on a wasabi pea bender for no reason.  Bad Alyssa.  Bad!

Freezer Meal #1 - Cheesy Shells and Italian Sausage

A month ago, a coworker invited me to a Pampered Chef Freezer Meal party.  I will admit that I went in to it with a little bit of an attitude: " I'm going to have to buy all their seasonings and the meals will be full of processed goo and not taste great ."   Four hours of fun, three glasses of wine, $170 for groceries and seasonings, and 14 meals later, I was happily proved (mostly) wrong.  Here's how my thinking changed: 1) I'm going to have to buy all of their seasonings - well, yes.  This is a service they're offering after all, and I felt like the $70 was more than worth the ideas and ingredients I got, plus not having to do the dishes and getting a free dinner was a bonus!  I discovered a few ingredients I would have normally given the "side eye" to, like cherry balsamic vinegar, which costs the same at the grocery store as it does from The Pampered Chef. 2) The meals will be processed - I was expecting lots of Cream-of-Something-Soup r...
