Day 44

Last week I lost an eighth of a pound.  I'll take it--I had a big loss the prior week, and while I made good choices this week, I wasn't really on top of things.  So at least I didn't gain weight! 23.8 pounds to go.

The week started okay with eating well and exercise, and then kind of devolved into a lunch-with-coworkers-and-watching-the-Olympics-instead-of-exercising laziness (this is also why there weren't updates for a few days).  Then Chris came home from his conference, which called for healthy-ish pizza, sangria, and a chocolate chip cookie sundae.

How YOU doin'?
I'm still sucking at exercising, so still no purse for me.  My goal this week is to exercise 6 out of 7 days.  The 3,500 calorie burning just isn't working for me.  Any advice on the exercise front is welcome!

Also, my friend Yuki is doing the Disney Princess half marathon next year, so I'm trying to motivate myself to do the Royal Family 5k Run, because when else could I do a 5k and legitimately wear a tiara?!?  I wonder if Queen Liz would be willing to lend out the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara?


I'd also "settle" for the Strathmore Rose.

Nothin' says joggin' like a big piece of bling.
Even the Cameo Tiara would be nice.  It'd be heavy, but it's a sacrifice I'd be willing to make.


Or the Midnight Tiara might work as well.  It would be unexpected.


I don't know...which one do you think matches my inhaler the best?

Freezer Meal #1 - Cheesy Shells and Italian Sausage

A month ago, a coworker invited me to a Pampered Chef Freezer Meal party.  I will admit that I went in to it with a little bit of an attitude: " I'm going to have to buy all their seasonings and the meals will be full of processed goo and not taste great ."   Four hours of fun, three glasses of wine, $170 for groceries and seasonings, and 14 meals later, I was happily proved (mostly) wrong.  Here's how my thinking changed: 1) I'm going to have to buy all of their seasonings - well, yes.  This is a service they're offering after all, and I felt like the $70 was more than worth the ideas and ingredients I got, plus not having to do the dishes and getting a free dinner was a bonus!  I discovered a few ingredients I would have normally given the "side eye" to, like cherry balsamic vinegar, which costs the same at the grocery store as it does from The Pampered Chef. 2) The meals will be processed - I was expecting lots of Cream-of-Something-Soup r...
